AKG  earphones  315


This is the biggest model of  the series as found in our computer and electronics multi store chain Plaisio , though the company (AKG )  in its website http://www.akg.com/personal/In-Ear,pcatid,7,_psmand,1.html   shows two more  models of the 31x series ,

It also has been tested prior the interested person to receive it fir his usage.

As with the 311  its packing is the same:
After removing the two paper 'tongues'  from the   above and  under  part of the box ,  the cartons have magnets and that firm the packing

In the packing  a small pack is included  that keeps  part of the cable .

There is also a attenuator in the cable that  attenuates audio volume (ie lowers it down). As it shown in the above picture this is a slider attenuator . I don't know the exact attenuation , but i think it is about 40 db of lowering

As always there  is a small flag near the plug end  that  goes slippery . It is quite firm but can move relatively easily

Here is a close up picture  of the attenuator . It is located in the middle of the total length .Moving the slipper towards  the end goes to  its lowest volume but it does  not zero out the  sound . Must be about 30-40  db of attenuation A quite uncommon design  for attenuator (ie variable resistor ) as the only del i know  is of 'tuning knob'


And finally the  plug part of the earphones :

As with the other models  of AKG it uses the line design of plug , in contrast to most other brands using an  'L shaped'  plug for space saving  reasons. I think the company  uses the  logic of the 3.9 mm plugs


And on the other end , the earphone  is air based :

As it is shwon in the picrtures, n the left picture there is a hole permitting air and audio to pass though the earphone


Now using it , its audio seems  relatively bassy .

Checking  wit the  Spark plug its sound  has little  higher bass  than the sparkplug
Using them in parallel  with splitter , the 315 reveals itself with little  stringer audio packed with some high bass .But on very trebly music as  for example the Bolong radio 315's audio is quite nice , offering  better higher trebles (ie sharper audio )
With  other sets :
Using with sansa  the sound is poor . the bass  seems removing  some  treble
Using with the  receiver IC R 75  , due to its specially shaped curve, audio goes very bad
