 Neoteck 059 vs 106 Blueooth

It has been over four years since I purchased the NTK 059 from Amazon. I bought it with the intention of enhancing my experience while watching TV shows and movies, as well as listening to music.

However, I have only used it less than ten times, totaling less than 20 hours. The reason for discontinuing use of the product was due to changes in my daily schedule, which involved frequent travel between my own home and my parents' home to care for them.

Despite this, I was pleased with the product's excellent sound quality, even when used in conjunction with a somewhat unconventional setup, which included an RF bypass for TV via

-RF bypass for TV via a Digital decoder
-TV connecting with a DVD recorder jus tin case..
-DVD recorder connects to a HiFi [lol] system
-The spare RCA outputs from the DTV were used to connect to the headphone amplifier via a provided cable. The output of the amplifier was then connected to a 5m 3.9mm cable extension to reach the AKG77 headphones on the other side of the salon (5.5+m).

Why do I refer to the Hifi? This is a pre-2000 all-in-one model with 3 CD, 2 cassette, and radio player, plus two mid-level speakers offered with the model, with sound quality inferior to these headphones. There are a few DSP modes for equalization that enhance the sound quality, but they still do not offer the good audio that these headphones offer!

Most times, I used it to watch musical programs from 3 TV stations on the weekends.  The best sound among them was on ERT, the Greek national TV network. The second station produced a sharper and more sibilant sound compared to the third station, which was considered to have lower quality sound.  The text is free from filler words and employs a formal register with precise word choice. Listening to ERT provided the best experience, with all instruments being heard clearly, although the drums had a slightly sharp sound.

The cable was consistently connected to the DTV receiver, while the amplifier was only used when necessary.

pack 106

Looking here the bigger model HD106 Each model  has the same packing with these accessories included :

- A 3,9 mm jumper  with one end 90d angled
-mini USB cable. Mini D  plug is used.
-Mini guide All these are put in the same part of the box. Rather not to be used as the  amp is very simple to be used. I have seen a video in the Ali page on how the BT can communicate
-the amplifier in the other part of the pack

Both amplifiers have a similar design and controls, with slight differences in operation. The volume knob in the BT model controls the volume and acts as a switch, while in the non-BT model (NTK059), the middle switch functions as the power on/off button. In the NTK160 model, the middle switch acts as the volume gain control.

To activate the Bluetooth mode, simply turn on the NTK160 without plugging any cables into the input socket and activate the BT mode on your device. Both the computer and smartphone paired with the amplifier immediately.

Upon checking the fidelity, I noticed that the Digital TV decoder had a higher treble than expected. Once I plugged the amp with the SCART, I noticed a different audio signature with lower highs. I also tested the NTK 059 with a smartphone and found that the audio quality was poor and similar to the direct audio. Therefore, the NTK 059 appears to be transparent to my ears.

I chose to use a new Nintaus model. The Amoi model has a sibilant sound with less bass and slightly higher trebles in the 1.5-5 KHz range, making it uncomfortable for extended use to my ears .

After experimenting with the same song, which has both treble and bass, I found that the Nintaus model produced slightly more bass at the 1.5-2 db level while maintaining
the same overall sound quality. I also observed that the plug on the 160 cable was slightly larger, requiring more pressure to fit securely.

I opted for the utilization of a novel Nintaus model. The Amoi model exhibits a pronounced sibilant sound characterized by reduced bass and slightly elevated trebles within the frequency range of 1.5-5 KHz, causing discomfort during prolonged usage as perceived by my ears.

The aforementioned illustrates the disparities between employing a direct connection and utilizing the 106 as an amplifier. Extremely low frequencies are effectively amplified.

Contrary to my previous experience, I noticed that the 106 shows a more pronounced bass sound, as indicated by the left portion of each spectrum analysis, with some increased presence in the middle and higher frequencies.

HOco E73 Pro min BT trasnmistter

First before reading the story please oblige yourself to send your comments below. the writer  needs to know  your opinions .This will be a serious reason otherwise to  terminate this service!

This transmitter receiver is one of the most affordable options in the local market, priced at only 13 Euros. I ordered two pieces over a month ago. Other models are available in the market starting from 20 Euros, but I was pleased to find the lowest price in Southern Greece. Payment was made in cash upon delivery,

and the model was received within two days. The first one was checked and found to be working well, except for some blinking during operation, which is normal. The problem was identified clearly.

The second model worked without any issues and was promptly returned. The staff were helpful in checking and sending the remaining model back home in less than a week, despite the fact that I received it two weeks later.

This type of transmitter is ideal for use with gear that does not include Bluetooth. I own several mini gear items, including shortwave radios and MP3 players.

The operation of this item is simple: press the TX RX switch to enter transmit mode and connect the AUX plug using the provided double nipple plug or the cable jumper included in the box. It may be challenging to find a nipple of this quality on eBay, except for some in black rubber at half the price.

To connect to a mini amplifier or headphones without Bluetooth, switch to RX mode and use the provided cable.

Please refer to the photo below for an example of how to connect the transmitter to a shortwave radio using the same 3.5mm jack as shown above.

I have several shortwave receivers and a few non-Bluetooth MP3 players that need attention. Specifically, I have a Tecsun shortwave and FM radio. I have used Bluetooth with a 3.5mm jack, which works well with wired headphones such as the JBL T500. I also tried the JBL 510, which is the Bluetooth equivalent of the T500, and found that the sound quality was even better.

Here is the second example. I used an older 3.9mm stock jumper cable to connect both the Nintaus MP3 player and the transmitter. The sound is good and slightly flatter than when using the T500.

In terms of distance, I tested the radio indoors while listening with the BT510 headphones  the VT counterpart of the T500 headphones . The reception is clear and uninterrupted in most rooms, except for those separated by three thin walls. The coverage distance is approximately 11 meters.

Sony WH-CH510

 ----------------

If  you just read the model with the good reception headphone but with bad audio and after watching TV for much time I decided to go to the next step by fining a better model. My idea was to find the BT  version of the T500 (ie BT500) but I was terribly dissapp0inted as the model could not be found in the market unless ordered . I searched about 5 stores with no success . Its price is just 35 out of 50 as it was on 2021. This can be for sure the reason why it disappeared.

The next found is a Sony model  with the same price . I was however impressed with its time range at 35 hours with one charge! This is one of the reasons I bought it

So yet another full plastic model so simple, a bit more than the JBL one Even a bit smaller one ! As it can be shown with the above picture the arm is nearly the 2/3s of the JBL

as with most headphones , the buds can be rotated. But also there is some tilt is not more than 15 degrees as it can be shown above

The next and final typical with them is the button arrangement.  Volume or next /previous song  plus the power on /off button And USB C for for charging!

They are very comfortable. They don;t irritate my head nor my mind.this is quite the second reason i bought them

Measurements

As with remain models tested this also offers a nice female voice informing the status of the model. Messages as always use female voice In this model are noted after a short tone It also advises the status of the battery. I old prefer if hat could message as battery full only.

Reception by distance .

First test : distance with the Redmi 5a . good reception with minimal drops esp in the point with 2 walls in between . This is the only point that signal got some temporary drops. Outdoors there were also some point with twin walls killing the signal

Testing with laptop : reception was worse than with the Redmi with more drops on the same points I think that its wireless transmitter has lower power

I have used  the same song  when testing both as transmitters. same audio quality  for both with good  audio very close to JBL headphones.Second and more exhaustive check shown the Sony having a  some increase on 500-1500 Hz range (middles and lower sharp tones and lack of the very deep bases ) as checked with the above and this song  =with deep basses-  from YouTube . Link to a friend singer.

Testing with with a TV and external transmitter : this mini gadget has been tested so far to have some trebly sound when receiving with the 81DJ headphone. at first check the transmitted didn't now couple with the headphones . I waited more than 90 seconds till the transmitter turned itself off . ON second try the transmitter still coupled slow but in shorter time! Sound quality between the wired  headphones and this are nearly the same with nearly the same frequency response as tested with the first test.

Below  is the tone test #1 as made with most earphones before using a lapel microphone by testing both JBL and Sony .

From what i understand from the screenshot this headphone has very deep basses even are not heard It was quite mysterious that all tones shown as lost in the local noise but only the near 1 Khz were audible. JBK shows a tune-in on 1 kHz while the Sony on 2kHz

As in result: 4/5 Sony headphones are quite good with a HIFi audio curve and very comfortable !

Some additions
The headphone has been tested  in another place in a irregular room with a fireplace in-between  with 6x6 plus 6x3 [tilted] extension . The firs two tries were good but after them i seen again the problem happened with the two other BT headphones tested before: timeouts

Connection with the Hitachi android TV is rather quirk : every time i connect with the headphones I first must to do a new BT gear that means the bit code is possibly different

Another time the connection was reset in the middle of watching and i needed to restart 'pairing' as noted above! I cant understand what is the reason..

time testing between this and rthe inkax HP31

  • Sony with smartphone 8 seconds
    Inkax with smartphone <1 second
  • Sony with TV >50seconds
Inkax with TV ard 5 sec

Inkax HP31 Bluetooth headphones

After some time I finally won to replace my Ninsheng BY model with a better model that has not the quasi 3D sound. As noted there the previous model and its 'house siblings '  have the common of "spatializing" the sound into 3D and enhancing the basses and the middles. That means making a head full of low freq sounds and make me crazy !

This new model coded as HP31 comes with very nice design includes the same features: cabled  and wirless connectivity , SD card reader FM radio and microphone.

This is now the nicest model i have. It comes with aluminum blade as armature of ca 3 cm in eash side very nice color a. It is the flagship model of the Bluetooth of the companys headphone models .

As you can see the blade is around 3 cm and relatively big speaker that is over the ear.  Nice leather like isolation over all the arm and mid heavy for just 200 grams

Hmm just 1 gram lower than 200! It doesn't matter so much

In contrast with the other models the P31 has only 3 buttons with enhanced operations. the middle button powers on and off, stop music , while the two others do 2-3 operations : change the mode of operation , scan the radio, control the volume and jump to the next /previous song

and the SD card slot

In order to pick it the seller left me also check between a few company models company before picking it . The sound is quite bassy but with rich trebles and cross checked at the same time with mine AKG81DJ which has a bit narrower sound range(above the 10kHz part )  using the Q3 Tescun player recorder with test songs !!

Sound

As with most typical Bluetooth models  tested.  HP31 has quite deep basses that extend a bit to the normal voice band with audio range that covers up to 20 kHz A that is an extended U type curve with narrow lows.

Its most important feature excludes 3D sound ! This is the reason i took them! I now feel much better listening for indefinite time.

Interesting to notices  the voices frequencies are more linear than in Bluetooth mode

In SD card mode the sound is very close to the Bluetooth curve

Bluetooth mode

Tested with the mini transmitter and the latency is around 0.2 seconds  this is possibly due to the transmitter latency . use also with the digital TV receiver with very good audio.

Cross Checked with Awei :more trebles NO 3D sound !

With my laptop : the laptop sound is unfortunately quite bassy but the results are OK and can be used for long time listening. Tested  in stream radio and in Youtube and is heard very well The same with remote radios from the Kiwi Net used by radio listeners and radio amateurs. This model can replace my standard headphone Sennheiser HD493 used since mid 2000s in other gear . The HD493 was repaired the last month but the technician damaged its sound linearity and i feel it now as also 3D

This is the typical options when he headphones are paired. IN headset mode  the sound is heard monophonic

IN the bottom of  the control panel there is a typical 3.9mm stereo audio socket.

Zoom to watch the  full photo . as you can see the lower part of the higher band is slightly lower. They re recorded in the same volume

The above audio by amplitude

Distance range with BT gear
It can connect up to 7 meters with half meter wall
Around 12 meter direct length

Radio: The only drawback as with other models which produce monophonic  sound and poor reception. I think that if the radio could have a terminal to touch the metallic armature the reception could be quite better for sure!

SD operation : It plays all standard audio formats : WAV MP3 and WMA .Sound is quite bassy as in Bluetooth mode. Changing files is a bit awkward with continuous use of the next back buttons for 1-2 seconds to select the song in sequence, It does not play songs in the exact sequence.

Battery : this is its worst point . its battery lasts only 3 hours as tested so . Upon that i returned back to the seller the headphone only for a item only change but they denied. This company is bond "to their protocol" or the typical procedure disregarding to adapt to the reality As therte is no space in the house i always litter the box and separate all the accessories just in the case they will be used. I use it alone with  my standard accessories in a bag. its very possible that this battery will be expired very soon.
Its funny that after charging it to the full for 3 times without using it after , it operated for 5.5 hours continuously and still having more in its battery...It finally lasted 6 hours.

Verdict :8/10 it has a very good though bassy sound with the most typical features of its category . Very nice ergonomics  and design Its main use ids for remotely listening various TV programs

Addition post-21 and 22
using it in another home with irregular shape and a fireplace in the middle reception was very problematic , with self-cancellation of signal while moving the head acrross the  room wall

Just think a room of ca 6m long x5 m with a space of 2x2 missing in the right part (entrance ) . Inthe left part of the room there is a fireplace of 1.5x1.5 m in the middle of the room. This is  what i can suspect making propagation self cancellations :  the fireplace and the design of the whole saloon

Νinsheng P18 ΒΤ headphone

And this is the final model that was tested after finding a series of headsets for the family . That is because "....everyone reserves to have his personal Bluetooth headphone" if you think it is more logical or not. IN away yes as the anyone's ears are a  bit different  with different hearing or musical abilities and interests in the one side and the possible transfer of bad molecules in  this very bad period as the doctors advise.  As for example my wife has not any aural requisites while listening to videos while my daughter most times advises that all headphones are excellent even if i can see huge response differences in each model she used so far And believe me she already destroyed more than 5 headphones  in just 5 years. all fo them were of prices below the 15 EU range

Unfortunately for the remain of the family my ears are quite prone to audio problems  tat is a mix of tinnitus the persistence or  the long history  of using studio headphones and earphones for more than 20 years Most of these  models are referred in this site.

Among the models i checked there is an interesting model from a company called Ninsheng with he code number SN-P18 as noticed in the box and the headphone. Its very funny that is not noticed in the Alixpress page. With a very short Goo-search is sold with many other names Uukuer Hanshi Bakeey etc

Short overview

in its box

This the biggest by size model in full plastic i used so far. as with the remain models bought via Ali  its price was just  Eu17 plus 3 shipping  a rather 'cheepish' model that offers 'too much' for its price.

as with all packs the packet contains the headphones a typical USB cable for charging and a 3.9mm jumper to connect with audio gear. Instead of the typical 50 cm jumper as the remain models this is around 100 cm flat cable with red colour

The photo turned right for better view . There is a SD slot with the new design that tested to support 16 GB  memories.

The typical USB D plug for charging the microphone and the 3.9 mm plug for the jumper.

...and the set of the standard buttons with multiple functions. ONe of them can select between SD, memory and wireless usage . Plugging the cable the headphone switches off

The earphones are over ear even if they seem to be quite big due to their egg shaped design , They are around 2 cm longer than the model reviewed previously

Performance

First lets mention something important. as with the previous two models i have understood that this basic category introduces a quasi 3D sound that is 'adding spatiality' that is active in stereo mode.

A second fault of this category is the "abnormal" frequency response  that enhances part of the band either by 'adding' more bass or by 'adding' more middles

The added middles etc are simply a passive way of filerting the audio spectrum by the headphone design and its base. This base design is possibly also the reason to dissipate the lower part of the band to give a 'fake' sense of 'audio widening' that can spread across the middle point - over the nose - and a few cm towards left and right. IN my opinion it helps you to listen a bit better your calling counterpart but does not help so wall if you intend to listen to the music for the optimal experience.

As with the remain models the Ninsheng model shows also this spatiality  and  introduces  a peak on the bottom mid band. Just  see this picture below as tested with the AKG DJ81, my most favorite headphone with nearly linear frequency response It is designed in a piece of paper as you may understand.

The ninsheng model shows a peak of around 4-5db between 400-700Hz that is a bit annoying to my ears. Low basses are also minimum but above the upper middles the sound is very close to the response of AKG with less than 3 db of loss. The total sound level is around 2 db higher than the AKG.   Really comparing to the remain Bluetooth models it has the best audio with Awei as second.
To add to the above the one speaker shows a loss of trebles

Enough for the sound part that is the most important of the review

-Line in : the sounds is the same as from the Bluetooth with the same 'spatiality'

-SD card :nearly the same fidelity and spatiality as long as the volume is not very high   . It supports both WMA and MP3 The first time i used it in its maximum level the sound was totaly terrible

-FM There is an FM option  that first needs to auto store all channels. in the point i leave the signals are quite strong but the radio is not enough sensitive  While walking cross the room the signals can also be lost and return fair in signal.

The above review is made with the Bluetooth transmitter  in mind as tested before . It requires around 35-50 second to connect.

Connection via  smartphone /PC. It is shown with two identifications as stereo headphones (P18 stereo) or just as monophonic headset  (P18 hands free AG audio ) Hands free option has inferior monophonic sound . My Xiaomi smartphone could only connect to the P18 mode and only after the second try to search BT gear!

Verdict

3.5/5 As in result the headphone the does a good job in its category with good but wide sound but not as the linearity a  'linear' wired studio model does In this situation it is rated as 2.5/5 Anyway though a interesting gadget , due to my hearing problems is a reason to replace it with a better model

I finally sold this model
